I said I agree they were aiming big, but actually expecting it to happen - probably not and I am sure now they would say that they knew the towers would fall.

well obviously they would say that NOW......its more than 7 years after the fact

and yeah i really do believe they thought they would fall........if not why hit them from two seperate angles unless you think they will both fall in a direction that would cause alot of damage?

why not fly into both of them straight on from the hudson? which would have been the easiest flight path since there is nothing in the middle of the hudson that would have made it difficult to do

the answer is easy if you look at it logically...........there is nothing directly east that would really do enough damage to anything of importance with the exception of the NY Fed which is about 7 blocks east

but you try to get one to fall SE towards the NYSE and AMEX buildings and the other to fall north towards the WFC and NYMEX.......you have essentially crippled the free markets by taking out or doing serious structural damage to the physical structures and they dont reopen in a week........the markets dont reopen for a month

then you have achieved the ultimate goal

youve killed countless americans and also put a serious dent into the financial markets of the world......not just here but the markets abroad would have been crippled as well

Ya know...I look at it like this: This is the world we live in..and it abounds with evil. But, why fear any of these countries or orginizations? They want us to fear them. And, I have full confidence that no country or orginization wants to feel the full wrath of the US..cuz we have the bombs, nukes, germs..you name it to kill this world deader than anyone else could. Al Queda may talk smack on a cassette tape or broadcast out of cave about how they are winning the war on the West..but they are still hiding. So, running like a scared girl and broadcasting from a cave isn't my idea of winning anything. BWC, you're right tho...the terrorists aim to destroy the economy moreso than take lives...although they don't mind doin that either. I'd say if the US "tested" a good size nuke, many countries would settle the hell down.
